Canadian Forces Snowbirds

The Snowbirds’ members, which include pilots, technicians, support operators, and various administrative personnel, work together to showcase the skill, professionalism, teamwork, discipline, and dedication of the CAF. As ambassadors of the CAF, the Snowbirds inspire excellence wherever they go.
At the upcoming Wings Over Windsor airshow, the Snowbirds will once again take to the skies and amaze audiences with their impressive aerial acrobatics and teamwork. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this incredible team in action!

B-17 Flying Fortress "Yankee Lady"
The B-17, also called the Flying Fortress, was a U.S. heavy bomber used during World War II. The B-17 was designed by the Boeing Aircraft Company in response to the 1934 Army Air Corps specification that called for a four-engined bomber at a time when two engines were the norm.



C-47 Skytrain "Hairless Joe"
The Douglas C-47 Skytrain or Dakota is a military transport aircraft developed from the civilian Douglas DC-3 airliner. It was used extensively by the Allies during World War II and remains in front-line service with various military operators.
